Sponsors League 2007/08
the latest Sponsors' League table
The Sponsors’ League provides a mechanism for WHOSH to raise finance to
help Luton Town Football Club by sponsoring a player or two.
Entry to the Sponsor’s League costs £30 for a season, with discounted
rates for additional entries from the same address.
All the money sent in is used for the prizes we gain by giving the money
to the Club. Over several years, WHOSH has become well established at
the Club, and the never ending stream of different prize winners and the
way in which we operate is of real interest to the Club and the
sponsored players.
As those under 18 cannot attend either the Kit Sponsors Match or Kit
Sponsors Evening, the "Youth League" will be open to all those under 18.
The winners will receive a signed shirt.
RULES
These are the rules for the 2007/2008 Sponsors League.
All sponsors are only eligible to win one prize a season, unless they
have paid for a double entry, in which case each entry can win a prize.
Once a sponsor has won something, they will remain in the league, but
their name will be marked with a (W) and they can win no further prizes.
This will help others in the league know where they actually stand.
1. Every sponsor will be randomly allocated four, one-minute time slots
per half, HOWEVER, if you wish to choose your own timeslots, you may. You
will be allocated timeslots randomly at the beginning of the season.
Please remember you cannot have timeslots that include the 45th or 90th
minute.
2. In home games, for every LTFC goal scored in your timeslot, you will
receive 3 points. For every opposition goal scored in your timeslot, you
will be deducted 1 point.
3. For away games, for every LTFC goal scored in your timeslot, you will
receive 6 points. For every opposition goal scored in your timeslot, you
will be deducted 2 points.
4. At the point in which the Club announce when the Kit Sponsors Match
is going to be, the people who are top of the League will win places at
the Kit Sponsors Match. Their name will be marked with a (W) and they
can win no further prizes. The people top of the league at the end of
the season will win places at the Kit Sponsors Night. The number of
people attending these events depends on the number of entries we get,
this season it is two places to each.
5. If you want to change your timeslots you can at any time, I will
reply with acknowledgment and tell you after which game they change.
6. In the event of equal points, a tie break will be used based upon the
highest number of points obtained solely for LTFC goals scored. If there
is still a tie, the number of LTFC goals scored at home will decide. Any
remaining tie will be decided by a draw.
7. As we usually have a good number of overseas sponsors, they will form
their own Overseas League. This will run on the same basis. The top
overseas sponsor at the finish will win one of the signed shirts.
8. A Youth League will be open to anyone 18 and under as they are unable
to attend either the Kit Sponsors Match or Evening. This will be the
same format, but will run for the full 48 games. The winner will win the
other signed shirt.
9. Extra places at the Kit Sponsor's match and dinner will be offered at
first to the winners of the league, to see whether they would like to
take accompanied guests, and then to the rest of the sponsors.
10. In the event of extra monies raised, but not enough to sponsor
another player, the money will be used for extra tickets and extra
merchandise to be signed to be given away as and when at the end of the
season.
11. In the event of any query or dispute, the Organiser's decision will
be final.
